Farewell Olivia Halim

Last week Egypt had lost another beautiful princess from the legendary princesses of Mohamed Ali Royal family
Last week princess Olivia Halim had passed away
Princess Olivia is the daughter of Prince Abbas Halim ,one of the most controversial princes in the Egyptian Royal family
He was known for his left wing thinking and his support for the labors rights
Not that only but this red prince also joined the Nazi Army in WWII as a pilot and I even got a picture for him wearing the german nazi pilot suite with a cigar in his mouth
Not that only was unique about him but also his wife who I can’t remember her name now.
This lady princess or Countess did something made all Egypt talk about for weeks , when the WWII was over her husband was caught by the British army and was sent to the prison as political prisoner of war ,to cheer him , the countess decided to make a cocktail party in the folk "Balady" Cafe in front of the prison , where all the high class friends of the prince were gathered celebrating the event with their fancy clothes in the poor cafe , you can imagine how that act drove the british crazy ,already they had released him as being a royality ,already they discovered that not only him in the royal family who had connection with the Nazis but even his majesty was an agent too
Anyway back to Olivia , who was one of the famous beautiful Egyptian princesses , not only her but her sister Neveen , whose name was called until now on beautiful baby girls , my grand mother told me that the Name Neveen was n’t familiar in Egypt until the appearance of Neveen Halim
The Unique thing that I knew the man who would have married her if the revolution of 1952 hadn’t overthrown King Farouk
His name was Khalil Tahar "May God bless his soul " , he was  jounralist and a very close frined to my grand dad till his death
anyway after the revolution the family of prince Abbas Halim moved to Turkey and from it they moved fro and to Europe and Egypt
Here I would like to say that Both princesses Neveen and Olivia donated to the Egyptian National Library their own libraries from very rare books

There is no such person by the name "Olivia Halim". The true name is HH Princess Ulvia Halim. She is not dead yet but lives with her Italian husband in Alexandria Egypt. In addition her father HH Abbas Halim was not a nazi pilot in WW II but instead was an Uhlan Officer under the command of the Kronprinz in WW I.I wish you will check the origin of your information before writing nonsense on this website.

Thank you Mahed for your corrections. I m the daughter of the Ulvia Halim and her Italian Husband. Just to be precise my mother did pass away on the 19th of May 2006. And I agree with you that whom ever writes should have the courtesy to check and ensure what they write. who is this Zeinobia anyway ?
