Nizar Qabbani : The Face of Qana – BloggingBeirut.com

Since Qana masscare 2 I was searching for this poem to share with you .It was written by Nizar Qabbani , the unofficial prince of Arab poets in the second half of the 20th century in the time of the first Qana Massacre in 1996.

Qabbani was a syrian poet , who lived in Lebanon for a long period in his life

He was known for both conterversial Political and Romantic poems, in his poetry there was no red lines ,no taboos .

He was my favorite and is still among my favorite since I was 12 years old

I found in this poem and its translation in a very powerful blog called BloggingBeirut ,it is covering the war from Lebanon now
